Sonda SYS. M150

SLM (selective laser melting), is a 3D printing technology that uses metal powders as the working material. The metal powder is melted by a laser to give it a shape. The three-dimensional model is created by melting (sintering) successive layers of the model one at a time. The whole process takes place in a special protective atmosphere within the building chamber for safety. This metal sintering chamber keeps the material from reacting with oxygen. Selective sintering of metal models saves time when producing a short series run or prototype models. In this case, items that would have taken weeks to create by traditional methods can be completed in days or even hours, depending on the size of the project.
